Diane and Tom's Cafe and Professional Catering Services Inc. was founded in 1991 by Diane and her husband of 20 years, Tom Barnette. Diane & Tom's Cafe is fully licensed and insured.
Diane was a Temple University Business major and Tom was an Executive Chef at Stouffer's Top of Centre Square for 12 years. Diane and Tom both worked as dieticians at Pennsylvania Hospital, providing 3 hot meals and snacks each day for the entire hospital.
Since 1991, the corporation has grown, and in the year 2000 purchased its first facility at 40 W. Maplewood Mall, in Germantown, Philadelphia.
Diane and staff hold certificates in food handling and preparation. Approved by The City of Philadelphia's Department of License and Inspection, Department of Health, and the Office of Food Protection.
Diane & Tom's Cafe specializes in a healthy international food menu. Over a 13-year period, Diane & Tom's Cafe has received the honor of being voted #1 Restaurant in the Germantown area. Their international food was featured on 2 major television stations in Philadelphia — WCAU with morning anchor Steve Levy, and Fox 29 with anchor Janet Zapolo.
Diane & Tom's Cafe provides hot lunches, breakfast and snacks to the student population of charter schools around Philadelphia, including The Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter School (MCSCS), one of the largest charter schools in Pennsylvania.
